SONY
HDR FX- 1 "was" promising in 2004
Unfortunately it is interlaced...and practical
experience has shown that PROGRESSIVE SCAN is
a big deal for 3D!
So, for 2005
& 2006...meet our NEW CHOICE!
Our new favorite... JVC's
GY-HD 100 or
GY-HD 101U
So now we are putting our
money on the new JVC offering, with true progressive scan, true 24p,25p,
30p ! soon to be GENLOCKABLE,
with a new synce device from FOR - A, for about $3000.
JVC GY-HD 100, which is available
now for about $5000 in the U.S. It is a switchable 50 to 60 cycle
operation in the HDV mode.
The DV mode must be specific to NTSC or PAL.
We have been testing the cameras extensively with great results. Nothing
for even 3 times the price comes close.
Rental rigs for owners of these cameras will be ablable from a
Los Angeles based rental operation, including rental of a
second camera. Heavy duty baterries, genlock, and jib arm kits will all
be rentable. You must supply the first camera
in the rig, and demonstrate knowledge of the camera to qualify for rental.
The rig and an operator/consultant is also
available to producers not presently owning a GY- HD 100.
If you produce TRADE SHOW
presentation this is you best choice for 3D!
We have also developed software
for processing the images into side-by-side masters (polarized method) and
into Anachrome for
HD DVD, or Sony Blu-ray home viewing.
More details are in preparation
for posting. We urge you to check out these amazing new camcorders as your
nearest JVC pro-dealer.
